Mountain Park Church is partnering with the Atlanta Woodturners Guild (atlantawoodturnersguild.org) to provide the opportunity to learn woodturning on our campus. Woodturning is a useful and beautiful skill that can last a lifetime. Until schools discontinued Shop Class, woodturning was learned in school. One of our goals is to keep Woodturning alive in our Community.
There are a limited number of spots. Classes are available for ages 12 to 99 who are able to stand for four hours at a lathe, show concentration, hand-eye coordination and can work with wood, sharp tools and machinery. The classes will be held outdoors provisionally. Each four-hour class is $20. For additional information email kpaulnavarro@gmail.com.
